[Saba Sports News] According to an official F1 report, during Friday’s practice sessions for the F1 Mexican Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc, despite ranking near the top, still believes Ferrari needs to improve its balance and stated that Ferrari is at a disadvantage compared to Red Bull and McLaren. Leclerc continued to show strong pace at the Rodriguez Circuit, being only 0.153 seconds slower than Max Verstappen’s benchmark time in FP2. Leclerc initially said, “Friday was quite positive,” before adding, “But we are still at a disadvantage compared to Red Bull, especially in low-fuel conditions; and compared to McLaren, we are at a disadvantage in high-fuel conditions. This is not surprising, we expected them to be the strongest teams here. But we did a pretty good lap. I felt quite good in the car, so we just need to build on that and hopefully find some more performance for the rest of the weekend.” Furthermore, Leclerc admitted that Red Bull’s single-lap pace might be difficult to beat, but he believed the situation could be different in long-run race simulations.
