[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, in a local Milan case involving illegal gambling on online poker and non-football events, several players have been investigated. Some players have already submitted applications for a fine-based settlement, paying a €250 fine to terminate the legal proceedings. Reports state that the prosecutor’s office has received applications from AC Milan’s Samuele Ricci, Atalanta’s Raoul Bellanova, and Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin. More applications are expected in the coming days. Once approved by the prosecutor, these players will each pay €250 to resolve the matter. It is reported that a total of 13 players were named in the investigation, including Nicolò Fagioli, Nicolo Zaniolo, Sandro Tonali, Alessandro Florenzi, and Weston McKennie. Almost all are accused of participating in illegal gambling, with the exception of Fagioli and Tonali, who were previously involved in the initial Turin investigation and are additionally charged with promoting illegal platforms to teammates and others. For these two, the charges do not qualify for the fine-based settlement, so they will proceed with a plea bargain process.
