[Saba Sports News] With the conclusion of the 2025 Germany Hylo Badminton Open, the Week 44 finals qualification rankings have been released. It’s worth mentioning that Chinese players, due to participating in the National Games, withdrew from the four tour events following the French Open. However, their overall results are quite good. Except for men’s doubles, which only has one pair qualified, all other disciplines have already secured the full quota of 2 finals spots in advance. In men’s singles, 6 players have currently secured their finals spots early: Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Li Shifeng, Chou Tien Chen, Anders Antonsen, Christo Popov, and Shi Yuqi. Jonatan Christie, with his Hylo Open championship, has surpassed Shi Yuqi in finals qualification points, rising to 6th place. Furthermore, to ensure securing a spot, Jonatan has also entered the Japan Masters and Australian Open. Judging by the number of tournaments he’s participating in now, it’s almost certain that Jonatan will compete in the finals. The suspense for the final spot will likely remain until the last moment. Actually, it’s somewhat unfortunate for the young French player Alex Lanier; he has only participated in 12 tournaments so far, and isn’t registered for the upcoming events, for reasons unknown.
