The badminton event at this National Games features nine competition categories, encompassing seven adult group events: Men’s Team, Women’s Team, Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, thoroughly testing the comprehensive strength of all teams. Simultaneously, to discover and cultivate future talent, the event has specially added two youth group events: U18 Men’s Team and U18 Women’s Team. This shows that the arena will not only feature peak showdowns between current national team players but also the emergence of future stars, making the transition and competition between generations a major highlight of this Games. As the highest-level comprehensive sports games in China, the National Games attract the participation of almost all Chinese national badminton team main players. According to the competition rules, players ranked in the top eight of the Chinese Badminton Association’s积分 rankings receive exemption from the qualifying rounds and advance directly to the main draw. This rule ensures that top players can compete in the final stage in their best condition. Therefore, Men’s Singles defending champion Shi Yuqi from Jiangsu, Women’s Singles star Wang Zhiyi from Hubei, and world-top Mixed Doubles pair Zheng Siwei, among other familiar national team mainstays, have already secured their main draw spots in advance, ready to fight for the honor of their respective provinces and cities.
