[Saba Sports News] The French Football Federation (FFF) officially announced that the national team plans to hold a ceremony before the match against Ukraine to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Paris attacks. On November 13, 2015, Paris suffered a series of terrorist attacks, resulting in 131 deaths and over 400 injuries. At that time, France was playing a friendly match against Germany, and the first explosion occurred at that stadium. Simultaneously, bars, restaurants, and the Bataclan concert hall in Paris were also targeted. Ten years later, the French Football Federation will participate in nationwide commemorative events to pay tribute to the victims. On November 13, 2025, France will face Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier, and multiple commemorative activities will be held on that occasion. The French Football Federation has decided to support the memorial run organized by the 13-Unis association, which will take place at the Stade de France on November 9. The French Football Federation will continue its commitment to promoting the “Bleuet de France” foundation, symbolizing remembrance and solidarity with veterans and victims of terrorism. As part of the football foundation’s “Open Football Club” civic and cultural promotion project, young players from the French National Football Institute (INF) will collaborate with the National Office for Veterans and Victims of War to understand the significance of this national memorial event. Players and staff of the French national team will wear the “Bleuet de France” foundation pin in public. On the night of the match, donation points will also be set up around the Parc des Princes to encourage contributions. Before the kick-off of the France vs. Ukraine match, a minute of silence will be observed in memory of the victims of the attacks, and a banner with the message “Football for Peace” will be displayed in the center of the pitch.
