[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, despite frequent discussions about Serie A’s declining appeal in recent years, data indicates that the league still maintains its unique charm. In the first 11 rounds of this Serie A season, over 3.5 million fans attended matches live, a 1.5% increase compared to the previous season. The average Serie A match attendance is 31,357 spectators, marking the first time the average has surpassed 30,000 since the 1999-2000 Serie A season. Milan’s Inter and AC Milan, AS Roma, Napoli, and Lazio are the five Serie A teams with the highest average attendances. AC Milan leads with an average of 72,916 spectators per game, followed closely by Inter with 70,814. Roma averages 62,871 spectators, while Lazio draws 45,921. Napoli ranks fifth with 51,402, and Juventus is sixth with 41,089. In contrast, Pisa has the lowest average attendance at just 11,046. Regarding stadium occupancy rates, Juventus tops the list at 99.01%, with nine Serie A teams having occupancy rates exceeding 90%. Looking abroad, the average attendances for the Premier League and Bundesliga are 41,880 and 41,801 respectively, higher than Serie A’s. However, Serie A’s attendance figures still surpass those of La Liga and Ligue 1. Notably, four German teams achieve 100% stadium occupancy for every match: Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Hamburg, and Cologne.
