[Saba Sports News] According to German media reports, after suffering two consecutive defeats in the Bundesliga and experiencing a nearly two-week training break, RB Leipzig hopes to quickly get back on track with a six-day training camp in Portugal. However, they have been unable to find suitable opponents for warm-up matches during the training period. While the first team enjoyed the last day of their short winter break on New Year’s Day, everything was ready in Almansil, Algarve, for the upcoming training camp. The club’s flag has been raised at the entrance of the team’s accommodation, and advertising boards around the training ground have been set up.
Currently sitting fourth in the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig will depart by chartered flight from Leipzig to Faro at 10 AM local time on Friday, training in southern Portugal until Wednesday to prepare for the second half of the season, starting with an away match against St. Pauli on January 10. After arriving at the five-star Conrad Algarve hotel, the team will head to “The Campus,” a training facility located two kilometers away, where head coach Ole Werner will conduct the first training session of the new year that afternoon.
