[Saba Sports News] Recently, four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen successfully sold the F1 car he drove during his rookie season, the 2015 Red Bull Racing Team F1 car. The car sold is the chassis number STR10-02, which was the car Verstappen drove for most of the 2015 season. Reports indicate that the sale price reached seven figures. Previously, this car was purchased directly from the Red Bull Racing Team by a buyer in 2019 and has recently been publicly listed for sale again.
The STR10-02 comes with complete documentation, including a purchase certificate from the Red Bull Racing Team and a 60-page official brochure created by the team, detailing every race the car participated in, along with comments from Verstappen. Additionally, the car is equipped with a 2015-spec Renault engine, as well as Verstappen’s original seat and steering wheel from that year. The auction also includes a helmet from the 2015 season that has never been worn.
In the 2015 season, Red Bull Racing Team built four STR10 chassis for Verstappen and his teammate Carlos Sainz. During that season, Verstappen drove the STR10-02 in 13 out of 19 races and achieved his personal season-best finishes of two fourth places at the Hungarian Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix.
