[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester City defender Nathan Aké is renovating a luxury house near Chelsea’s training ground, sparking speculation that he could return to the Blues. Aké joined Chelsea from Feyenoord at the age of 16 and made his Premier League debut at 17, but he never managed to establish himself in the first team. After loan spells at Reading, Watford and Bournemouth, he completed a permanent transfer to Bournemouth in 2017. During his time at Chelsea, Aké made a total of 17 appearances for the club. Regardless of Chelsea’s transfer plans for the summer, Aké himself appears determined to move back to Surrey. He purchased the £4 million property, located within a private estate, last November. He has now submitted planning applications to demolish the existing house and build a new seven-bedroom luxury mansion, complete with leisure areas and a trophy room.
The editor believes that Aké’s contract with Manchester City is set to expire in the summer of 2027, and his standing in the City squad has declined. It would come as no surprise if Aké seeks a transfer this summer. Meanwhile, Aké’s plan to use the renovated mansion as his permanent residence strongly suggests that he intends to move back to southern England.
