[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Oliver Arblaster, the 22-year-old midfielder of Sheffield United, and Martha Elizabeth Wilder, daughter of the team’s manager Chris Wilder, are expecting their first child. Martha officially announced the news on her personal Instagram account by posting several Polaroid-style photos, including pregnancy belly shots, ultrasound images, and a couple photo, with the caption “+1” and a white heart emoji. Oliver Arblaster’s mother revealed in the comment section that the baby will be a boy, writing: “He is going to be a beautiful, loved little boy and I can’t wait to be his grandma.” Sheffield United players have since sent their congratulations. Chris Wilder, manager of Sheffield United, has not yet made any public comment on the matter.
The editor believes that as a promising talent nurtured through Sheffield United’s youth academy, Arblaster made his Premier League debut in the 2023/24 season and has made 18 appearances for the team this season. He had a slow start to his recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury and has mostly been used as a substitute since the start of the new year. Manager Chris Wilder previously led Sheffield United from League One to the Premier League. This season, the side sits 17th in the Championship, 14 points adrift of the play-off places.
