[Saba Sports News] According to Italian media reports, the Milan police have busted a high-end prostitution ring whose services charged thousands of euros, with the case involving more than 1.2 million euros. Reports state that clients of the ring included individuals associated with Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, Sassuolo and Verona, although none of them have been placed under formal investigation so far. The group is said to have operated through an agency named “Ma.De Milano”, building a chain of prostitution, exploitation and facilitation centered around “post-match all-in-one packages”: including gatherings at five-star venues in Milan’s nightlife districts, escort services, and on occasion even the provision of nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas. One girl who reportedly had relations with players claims she is more than three weeks pregnant and is trying to recall dates to identify the client responsible for her pregnancy.
The editor believes that this has undoubtedly cast a heavy shadow over the image of Italian football. With the case coming to light, questions over how clubs manage their players’ off-field behaviour and how the league safeguards its reputation have once again been pushed into the spotlight.
