[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester City Women’s brand-new first-team training facility, built at a cost of £10 million, has officially opened recently. It marks a milestone moment for Manchester City Women and represents one of the largest dedicated first-team facility investments in the women’s football sector. Spanning 17,000 square feet, the new site is equipped with industry-leading technological amenities designed to optimise players’ pre-match preparation and post-match recovery, as well as reduce injury risks. It features a world-class gym, specialised strength and fitness zones, exclusive medical and rehabilitation suites, and dedicated spa and recovery areas. At the heart of the complex lies a circular changing room, created to strengthen team unity and togetherness. The facility’s design fully incorporated feedback from first-team players and staff, including social lounges and personalised touches such as players’ family photographs. The names of players who have made over 100 appearances for the club are displayed alongside the club’s nine major honours.
The editor believes that this training facility will provide the team with a brand-new dedicated base within the comprehensive campus, while maintaining full integration with Manchester City’s broader football and operational ecosystem — a key priority since the professional restructuring of Manchester City Women in 2014.
