[Saba Sports News] According to French media, the Eiffel Tower will be lit up during the UEFA Champions League final in support of Paris Saint-Germain. A world-famous landmark of Paris, the Eiffel Tower stands as one of the city’s most iconic buildings and is also featured as a symbol on the crest of Paris Saint-Germain. It will take on a special role for the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal held in Budapest. The City of Paris has announced a series of events around the tower to cater to fans’ anticipation and enthusiasm ahead of the fixture. Starting from the day before the final, the landmark will glow in blue and red from dusk until midnight. The move will bring back fond memories for supporters, as the tower was lit in the same colours after the club claimed its historic title last season. On match day, at 17:45 local time when the players step onto the pitch at the Puskás Aréna, around 20,000 light bulbs on the Eiffel Tower will be switched on, lighting up the entire structure.
The editor believes that more activities are still in preparation. Behind Paris Saint-Germain, the whole city is pulling out all the stops to make this grand event perfect.
