The centre-back has enjoyed an upturn in form since Michael Carrick took charge of Manchester United, yet he has missed out on a call-up from Thomas Tuchel and will not feature at the upcoming FIFA World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Per The Athletic, Maguire is poised to appear on Netflix’s new World Cup programme The Rest is Football. The brand-new television adaptation stems from the hugely popular podcast of the same name. Spanning 40 episodes in total, the series is fronted by Gary Winston Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards. Together with other presenters and special guests, the trio will travel to World Cup host venues across the three nations. Though organisers are yet to officially unveil the full guest roster, multiple sources confirm Maguire is included on the lineup.
