[Saba Sports News] According to US media reports, James Harden was arrested in Houston at 3:41 a.m. local time on June 13 for illegal possession of a firearm. Reports stated that Harden was found to have willfully and unlawfully carried a handgun inside his vehicle. The firearm was not secured in a holster but was placed within plain sight inside the car. Harden currently faces one misdemeanor charge of illegal weapons possession. He has posted a bail bond of 100 US dollars and been released on bail. He is required to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 22 local time. Given that Harden is charged with a misdemeanor, he is prohibited from possessing any firearms, ammunition or other weapons while out on bail. He is also barred from using, possessing or consuming alcohol, controlled substances, dangerous drugs or marijuana unless prescribed by a physician.
