“After consultation with NorthPort management, the commissioner determined that Mr. Amores will be suspended without pay for all games in the PBA’s 49th season for conduct detrimental to the league,” the PBA said in a statement. The statement was read by PBA Legal Counsel Ogie Narvasa.
Mr Marcial said Mr Amorres would only expect to be re-eligible for the PBA after receiving the necessary psychological counselling to deal with his anger and violent tendencies.
Despite his suspension, Amores is entitled to receive a salary from NorthPort and is allowed to participate in team practices and other activities.
