(SabaSports) Inter Milan star Giuseppe Bergomi spoke to Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport about the challenges facing the team in the new season.

“Inter are the ones the other teams need to beat, but to borrow a phrase from Piotr Zieliński: I’ve never had such a difficult pre-season,” Bergomi said. He pointed out that Inter had the highest average age in Serie A last season and that the team is currently facing some injury problems, which requires extra care.
He stressed that motivation is very important for the team. In order to win Serie A again, the team must remain hungry and not be satisfied with the status quo. “Juventus’ nine-game winning streak is over, AC Milan are only fifth in 2023 and Napoli were 10th last season. These are manifestations of drive and determination, without which success will be difficult.”
