June Mar Fajardo showed his dominance in the clutch, Posting a superb double-double performance with 40 points and 24 rebounds to help Beermen clinch the final spot in the PBA Governors Cup Final Four with a 109-105 win over FiberXers.
Fajardo went 27-for-15 from the field and 12-for-10 from the free throw line in his most productive game of the conference. He delivered a spectacular performance for the Sunday crowd at the Janares Sports Centre in Antipolo.
The eight-time MVP scored back-to-back points to power the Beermen to turn the tide with an 18-6 closing run, saving the series and paving the way for a much-anticipated best-of-seven semifinal against the Barangay Ginebra Kings.
The semi-finals will kick off on Wednesday at PhilSports Arena in Pasi City, with Beermen at 5:30 p.m. Against Gin Kings, followed by defending champion TNT Tropang Giga vs. Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 7:30 p.m.
