Guardiola said: “Our next game is against Nottingham Forest, who have two Champions League titles, one more than us. It’s a fact, not a joke. We are in trouble now but I am not going to say ‘Oh my God, we have so many injuries’ and as long as they are fit, the players will give their all.”

“We have five very important players injured and it is difficult to continue like this for a long time. We can’t have 55 players, salaries and budgets will be huge and the club will be in chaos and bankrupt. Unfortunately, De Bruyne and Stones both need a long time to recover, Kovacic may be back and Gralish could be back in a week or 10 days.”
