TNT failed to defend its title last season as the league shortened its 48th season to two conferences to fit in with the Philippine national team’s (Gilas Pilipinas) schedule.
Nevertheless, Hollis Jefferson returned for the Commissioner’s Cup, but his performance fell short, ending the tour early due to injury, and he was eventually replaced by his brother, Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson.
Currently, Hollis Jefferson is doing well in his third stint with Tropang Giga, showing his usual all-around numbers in the Governors Cup in the new season.
Although he believes the team have a good chance of capturing the Governors Cup again, manager Jojo Lastimosa believes the scoring foreign recruit still needs strong support from local players.
