(sabasports report)Italian media Quotidiano Sportivo reports, Inter Milan are interested in Giovani Di Lorenzo, the Napoli captain, as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, for whom Napoli has put a price tag of €30m.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is due to meet the club’s hierarchy next week, with Dumfries’ future high on the agenda. The Dutch international is out of contract next summer and the two sides have failed to agree an extension. With the Euros approaching, Dumfries could spark interest from other teams.
If Dumfries were to leave, Inter would consider a move for the 31-year-old Di Lorenzo to replace him. Dilorenzo has told the Napoli hierarchy that he wants to leave the team, allegedly unhappy with the team’s performance and a rift with some of his teammates. Di Lorenzo, who has a contract until 2028 with an option to renew it for another year, is currently worth 3 million euros a year, well within Inter’s reach. By contrast, Inter offered Dumfries a contract extension worth €4m a year.

Despite DiLorenzo’s interest, Napoli are not willing to let him go easily, especially with players such as Victor Osimhen and Piotr Zieliński likely to leave the team, with Napoli asking for 30 million euros for DiLorenzo.
Inzaghi’s first priority is to sign a new contract with Dumfries. If a contract extension fails, Inter will consider selling Dumfries and investing money in a replacement such as DiLorenzo.
