James enjoys playing for a symbolic team and appreciates the way the team treats its iconic player. The Lakers signed Bryant to his final contract in 2014, after his contract expired, for two years and $48.5 million. Despite having suffered two major injuries and nearly two seasons, the Lakers gave Bryant a larger-than-expected contract that included a no-trade option.
