(sabasports report) In the third place of the men’s Basketball World Cup, the United States men’s basketball team lost to Canada 118-127 in overtime and won the fourth place. Steve Kerr, the coach of the U.S. men’s basketball team, was interviewed after the game.

Referring to the overtime to put Bridges in the center, Kerr said: “Hart was out of the game, we were going to put Hart in the center position to continue to play small lineup. When Hart picked up his fifth offense, we were down like six, and I thought if we put Bridges on the floor, we could space the floor and get to the basket.”

“But it backfired, we didn’t do a good job of combining scoring and defending to close the gap. I thought it was key for the opponent to get six points in a row at the start of overtime, and they controlled the game from then on.”
