Lukaku said: “You know what’s the best thing? As long as the players are playing well, the Roma fans are very supportive of them, which is very helpful for a player like me and the other players in the team. What was I thinking when the fans greeted me outside the airport by patting the fence? It was exciting, that’s the feeling I always want when I play football, you live to experience that emotion.”

Lukaku also took a photo at Rome’s iconic Colosseum, saying: “It’s great to see the Colosseum, it’s my first time here, I’ve never been there before. This is seen as a symbol of Rome and it’s a moment I’ve been waiting for for years because when I was a child I couldn’t come here to see it. Now that I’m here, I want to take beautiful pictures and show them to my children.”
