(sabasports report)Manchester United have genuine interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed. Due to the good relations between the two clubs, the transfer of other players has also been discussed in the negotiations.

Sky Sports revealed this week that Ugarte, who is currently playing for Uruguay in the Copa America, is one of the players United are keen to sign. United manager Erik ten Hag needs to bring in a new midfielder to replace the 32-year-old Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, and Ugarte is one of those under scrutiny.
French newspaper L ‘Etat reported that Paris Saint-Germain had already rejected United’s first offer for Ugarte after the club offered just £25m. They are keen not to lose too much money after Ugardt joined PSG from Portuguese side Sporting CP for a £51.1m release last summer.
The latest rumours suggest United could make a second offer of £35m and it is thought Paris Saint-Germain will agree to sell at a reduced price as the 23-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has fallen out of favour under Luis Enrique. Ugarte was Enrique’s ideal midfielder at the start of last season, but gradually faded from view in the second half of the season. According to the statistics, he played 37 times in all competitions, had 3 assists, and was the French League leader in tackles (98).
