Postecoglu: “I am happy for the performance of the players, but we played against an elite team, so it was a very difficult match. The two goals we conceded – one was an own goal and one was a penalty after the VAR review – were not in our favour. The players showed resilience, they kept at it all the time and didn’t let up on themselves. I can’t say I’m satisfied or not satisfied with the result, I’m more concerned about the performance of the players, I think we were level with Arsenal in this game and we even dominated the situation at times, I’m more concerned about our form against a strong opponent, that’s the key, for this game I’m happy with the performance of the players.”

“The players push each other every day and that’s what makes me happy, they create a very good environment for themselves. Plus, they’re very clear about the goals of the team and what we’re looking for, and when you’re in that environment, I think it accelerates your growth. We still have a long way to go, but I’m really proud of the form the players are in and what they’ve achieved.”
