(sabasports report) Celtics defensive back Payton Pritchard recently sat down with The Boston Globe and talked about where he fits into the team.
Speaking about applying for a trade last season, Pritchard said: “I don’t dislike the city, the team, I just want to play, and it hurts me to sit there and watch. It’s probably the best place to play, there’s no other like it, but at the end of the day, in any job, you want to find a place for yourself, I want to play, I want to compete, that’s my idea. Because I think I’m good enough, I want to play and I want to play every game. I’ll keep pushing myself and see how far I can go.”
In the 22-23 regular season, Pritchard appeared in 48 games, starting 3 games, averaging 13.4 minutes per game, scoring 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and shooting 36.4% from 3-point range.
