Following a loss to
the Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk, RCB will play their next three games at
home. Their efforts to turn the M Chinnaswamy Stadium into a stronghold have
failed over the years, and they will face Punjab Kings on Monday, which will
make matters worse.
The Chinnaswamy is renowned for its flat pitches and high-scoring contests, and
the Kings’ lineup, which is full of powerful hitters, appears to be designed
specifically for it. They will also be buoyant after defeating the Delhi
Capitals in their first game, in which the majority of their hitters appeared
to be in good condition.
The offcutters of
Mustafizur Rahman had undone RCB’s batting against CSK. Arshdeep Singh, a
left-arm seamer for the Kings, also possesses an offcutter and a newly acquired
legcutter. At the Chinnaswamy, especially in a night game, the ball is not
likely to grip, despite the Kings’ hopes that he performs a similar function
for them.
The one bright spot in RCB’s loss to CSK was Anuj Rawat’s performance. Rawat
struck for 48 off of 25 after they were down to 78 for 5, saving the innings.
RCB will be able to address their death-overs issues if he can contribute
consistently; in that portion of the previous season, they were the
second-slowest batting side.
Reece Topley might
be a possible addition for RCB in place of Alzarri Joseph, but Kings are
anticipated to stick with their winning lineup.
When the Royals bat first, Dinesh Karthik bats first. In the second innings,
Yash Dayal enters as an Impact Player. Karthik will take Yash Dayal’s place in
the playing XI during the chase if they bowl first.
Prabhsimran Singh bats first and is placed in the XI. He will be replaced in
the second innings by Arshdeep Singh. If they bowl first, then vice versa.
