Since Roberto D’Aversa took charge of the team, Torino’s performances have improved significantly. In his first game in charge, Torino secured an impressive 2-0 home victory over Lazio. Although Torino suffered a 1-2 away defeat to Napoli last time out, the team’s improvement in both attack and defence has been clear to see. D’Aversa’s tactical approach is built mainly around solid defence, focusing on a compact and organised defensive structure rather than chasing possession, with an emphasis on quick and efficient counter-attacks.
