[Saba Sports News] Liverpool are planning to open contract extension talks with Mohamed Salah in the coming weeks after the player suggested this could be his last season at the club, according to British media outlet Inside Football. Salah has just one year left on his contract and earns £350,000 a week at Liverpool. Salah’s contribution to Liverpool since his £36.9m move from AS Roma in the summer of 2017 is beyond doubt. Regarded as one of the greatest players in the club’s history, he has scored 214 goals and had 92 assists in 352 games over seven seasons, averaging one spectacular goal every 1.15 games for the Reds.

Salah, 32, played a starring role again at the Double Red last weekend, tormenting Manchester United to a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, setting up Luis Diaz twice before scoring the winning third goal himself. Salah has scored at least 20 goals in every season he has played for Liverpool and has contributed three assists and three goals in his first three games this season. Although already 32 years old, but Salah’s form is still very good.
