(sabasports report)The Detroit Pistons selected small forward Ron Holland II from the NBA D-League’s Ignite with the fifth overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft.
In an interview, Holland II talked about his relationship with Cunningham :” I did know Cunningham, and we played unofficial games together when I was a freshman and he was a senior. But we haven’t been in touch for a while. Cunningham could do it if he wanted to. He knows how to make the right plays and make the right reads.”
“I’m curious,” Holland said of the Pistons’ current coaching vacancy, “but I’m sure we’ll have a good relationship with each other regardless of who’s in the job.”
