[Saba Sports News] The NBA regular season continues with the Phoenix Suns playing their first home game of the season against their Western Conference rivals, the Dallas Mavericks. SUNS Bradley Beal and Jae Crowder sat out the game due to back-to-back games.

At the beginning of the game, the state of the two sides is equal, the first quarter launched a fierce tug of war. While the Mavericks’ Luka Dončić and Klay Thompson combined offensively well, the SUNS played a more well-rounded offense with multiple players scoring. Kevin Durant led the bench on an 11-2 run in the second quarter to quickly build a double-digit lead and close the half with an eight-point lead.
The Mavericks pulled within one point on a 10-2 run to start the second half, but struggled in the seesawing battle as the SUNS responded with a 16-4 run to regain control. In the final quarter, the Mavericks looked awkward, with the margin hovering around 10 points, and Durant and Devin Booker drew fouls and hit free throws in the final moments to clinch the win.
In the end, the SUNS beat the Mavericks at home by a large margin and won. In terms of numbers, Durant had 31 points, nine rebounds and two assists, Jusuf Nurkić had 18 points and 14 rebounds, and Booker had 21 points and five assists for the SUNS. Doncic had 40 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, while Kyrie Irving added 22 points, two rebounds and five assists.
