Tropang Giga managed to shut down Kinnyingbula, the league’s top 3-point shooting team, with brilliant defensive tactics, making it difficult for opponents to find a rhythm and opening the best-of-seven series in front of a crowd of 11,021 at the Yanares Center in Antipolo.
Kinnyimbula ace Justine Brownlee admitted that the rest of the final will not be easy as they expect Tropon Giga to continue to block their perimeter shots, as was on display in Sunday night’s match.
Kinninbura shot just 39 percent from the field (30 of 77) and was a dismal 2-for-21 from 3-point range.
