With most players dealing with injuries, Tropang Giga is grateful to be able to have this breathing space before resuming the PBA Governor’s Cup schedule.
Last Thursday, TNT came through a tough game to beat the Magnolia Hotshots 88-82. The defending champions will return to the court on Sept. 5 against a winless Terrafirma team at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
“Fortunately, we have a few days to recover before the next game,” coach Chot Reyes said. He highlighted injuries to Calvin Oftana, Poy Erram, Jayson Castro and outside linebacker Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, He made a great contribution to the defeat of Magnolia.
TNT, meanwhile, remains without its two big men, sophomore Henry Galinato and former MVP Kelly Williams.
