[Saba Sports News] The A-League team Western United has sparked widespread attention after being stripped of their license due to financial issues. Earlier this month, the A-League official announced that due to systemic salary arrears, violations of financial regulations, and an international transfer ban from FIFA, the decision was made to revoke the license of both the men’s and women’s teams. Recently, the club officially released a statement confirming that they have appealed the penalty. It is reported that the club has already announced the acquisition by KAM Melbourne Group, but the deal must be approved by the Australian Professional Leagues and the Football Federation Australia. Therefore, KAM Melbourne Group has not yet submitted its full ownership proposal to the Australian Professional League. Western United believes that with the progress of the club’s sale and capital injection, there will be positive outcomes, so they have reason to believe that the appeal can change their fate of having their license revoked, thereby securing the opportunity for the club to continue to survive and develop.
