[Saba Sports News] Gerry Cardinale, owner of Serie A side AC Milan, has paid his second visit to the team’s training ground in just over a month, having already stopped by in late last month.
During his latest visit over the weekend, he held talks with head coach Massimiliano Allegri, greeted the entire squad, and later dined with the club president and his team at Casa Milan.
The frequent appearances send a very clear message. Long criticized as a remote investor who neglected the team, Cardinale is now stepping out from behind the scenes to take a hands-on role as the club’s owner.
Coming at a crucial stage of the season as the team pushes for key targets, his presence has provided reassurance and lifted morale. While not publicly putting pressure on the side, it clearly signals his ambition for the team to challenge for the title.
For the fans, this is positive news. Rather than just investing money while staying out of sight, the owner is taking the time to visit the training ground in person, showing his genuine commitment to building a successful AC Milan, rather than treating the club purely as a financial asset.
In our view, these two visits are far from a formality. They mark the beginning of Cardinale taking real control of AC Milan. Going forward, he is expected to take a far more active role in summer transfer business, plans for a new stadium, and the evaluation of the coaching staff, offering greater support to the club.
