[Saba Sports News] In the FA Cup third round, Tottenham Hotspur faced the fifth-tier team Tamworth, and it was initially expected to be a one-sided affair. However, the match was ultimately dragged into extra time by Tamworth, with Tottenham eventually eliminating them 3-0 in extra time. During the match, Tamworth player Ainou was matched up against Tottenham’s Pedro Porro, and his delicate footwork led some to believe he might be a professional player. However, recent media reports revealed that Ainou’s regular job is as a store clerk at Zara, and being a clothing store employee is his primary occupation. After a difficult elimination of Tamworth, Tottenham advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup, marking their 11th consecutive season reaching this stage. Additionally, Tottenham maintained their record of advancing against non-professional league teams since the 1914-15 season. Tottenham also became the fourth Premier League team to be taken to extra time by a non-professional team in the FA Cup, the last being West Ham in the 2021-22 season.
