It is reported that An will need to undergo rehabilitation treatment on the morning of November 30 and is scheduled to attend a family gathering in the afternoon, thus she cannot attend the badminton association’s awards ceremony. According to information, the ceremony will be held at the Arina Hotel in Milyang, North Gyeongsang Province, which is quite remote, located 278 kilometers from Seoul. Even taking the high-speed train, it will take about 2.5 hours to get there. The official reason for choosing this location is that the Korean Youth Championships are taking place in Milyang, and it is also the last day of the national team’s training camp. The Korean Badminton Association plans to award An Se-young a prize of 100 million Korean won at the ceremony, seen as an opportunity to “break the ice” with the 22-year-old badminton star. However, with An’s absence from the ceremony, it is unclear when the differences between the two sides can be resolved.
