Recently, according to South Korean media reports, An Se-young was awarded a prize of 50 million Korean won for exposing corruption within the Badminton Korea Association. At the 7th “April 19 Democracy and Peace Prize” awarding ceremony, An Se-young, born in 2002, officially received the award. She is not only the youngest recipient since the establishment of the prize, but also highly praised for bravely exposing internal problems in the badminton community after reaching the pinnacle of the world and promoting sports reform in South Korea.
At the ceremony, An Se-young exchanged greetings and took a photo with Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations.
