[Saba Sports News] Recently, at a media day event organized by the Badminton Association of Korea, An Se-young expressed confidence in her title defense at the World Championships, which will open in a week. She stated, “As long as I perform at the level of my training, I believe I can achieve good results.” An Se-young is the first Korean player to win a singles title at the 2023 Badminton World Championships. She mentioned, “I feel that I need to approach this with a fresh mindset to perform well. I will forget the past and fully commit to showing my best form.” An Se-young added, “Currently, my physical condition has recovered to the extent that I can participate in all training sessions. I plan to further enhance my condition to its best during the competition; I am already feeling very good. I am confirming my condition while preparing, so everyone doesn’t need to worry too much.” The venue for this World Championships, Paris, France, is particularly meaningful for An Se-young, as it is where she won her Olympic gold medal last year. She candidly said, “I have always performed well in France, so I look forward to seeing what I can show this time.”
