[Saba Sports News] Anthony Edwards added another name to his growing dunk reel on Tuesday — this time, it was Lakers center Jaxson Hayes.
Early in the third quarter of Game 2 between the Timberwolves and Lakers, Edwards ignited the Crypto.com Arena crowd with a thunderous slam.
After catching the ball at the top of the key, he attacked the paint fearlessly. Despite Hayes, a 7-footer, waiting in the lane, Edwards elevated and hammered home a two-handed dunk right over him.
The poster-worthy moment instantly became one of the highlights of the night and will no doubt live on in Edwards’ ever-expanding collection of jaw-dropping playoff dunks. And if his track record is any indication, it likely won’t be the last of this postseason.
Edwards finished the game with 25 points on 10-of-22 shooting, but his efforts weren’t enough to carry Minnesota to a win, as the Lakers took Game 2 with a 94-85 victory.
