Sports News] Premier League club Arsenal have recently made an announcement
regarding their star player Nicolas Pepe. It has been revealed that Pepe will
be terminating his contract with Arsenal one year early and will be joining the
Turkish Super League team Trabzonspor. However, what is surprising is that
Arsenal had originally signed Pepe from Lille in 2019 for a transfer fee of 80
million euros, and the club chose to pay the fee in instalments. As a result,
the remaining instalment of £52 million will continue to be paid until 2024,
indicating that Arsenal are still in the process of paying off Pepe’s transfer
fee. Despite high expectations upon his arrival in the Premier League, Pepe has
not performed as anticipated. He has made 111 appearances for Arsenal, scoring
27 goals. His performance fell short of expectations, and he struggled to adapt
to the pace of the Premier League, leading to his loan to Nice last season.
