[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, the latest accounts of Arsenal Women show that the club experienced huge growth in commercial and matchday revenue last season, but still relies on funding from its parent company. In the year ending 31 May 2025, the club’s commercial revenue nearly tripled, while matchday revenue rose by 35% to nearly £6 million, resulting in a record after-tax profit of £22,000. However, overall revenue was supported by £11.9 million in group income from the parent company, which remains by far its largest single source of income. The accounts state: “At this stage of women’s football development in England, the club is dependent on the support of Arsenal Football Club Limited, which provides a support grant to supplement the company’s own revenue.”
The editor believes that Arsenal’s matchday revenue is nearly twice that of any other women’s football club in Europe. The largest source of income remains the funding provided by the parent company, which increased from £9.3 million in the previous year to £11.9 million. The men’s team, women’s team and youth academy share some resources, such as a common marketing and commercial team.
