[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Aston Villa needs to pay a fee to terminate the loan of Harvey Elliott, as MLS team Charlotte FC is interested in signing the player. It has been reported that Charlotte FC wants to acquire Elliott, who is currently on loan from Liverpool to Villa, but the midfielder has yet to decide on his future.
Elliott joined Aston Villa on loan from Liverpool last summer, with a clause in the contract stating that if he makes 10 appearances for Villa this season, Aston Villa must sign him permanently in the summer of 2026. Sources from Liverpool indicate that the fee for Elliott’s permanent transfer is around £35 million, while sources from Villa suggest it is closer to £30 million.
Liverpool does not have the right to recall Elliott, but Aston Villa is assessing the possibility of terminating the loan agreement. Aston Villa needs to pay a fee to terminate the loan, so if Elliott were to return to Liverpool, the process may not be simple. Villa hopes to reach a new agreement with Liverpool.
