
[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, the Spanish Sports Anti-Violence Committee has officially announced disciplinary penalties, imposing a fine of 20,000 euros each on Atlético Madrid and Sevilla FC. The committee stated in a statement released this Wednesday that large amounts of paper scraps and sundries were piled up in the stands of Atlético Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium and Sevilla’s Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium. Fires even broke out successively at both venues as a result, posing a serious threat to the personal safety of spectators present. Relevant authorities cited Decree No. 19/2007 issued by Spain in 2007. The decree strictly prohibits violence, racial discrimination, xenophobia and all kinds of excessive improper acts during sports events.
