[Saba Sports News] On Thursday, Barcelona completed the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. Subsequently, Atletico Madrid issued a statement on their official website protesting: “Atletico Madrid wishes to express its deep concern regarding the current situation in Spanish football, stemming from the decision made by the Spanish Sports Council on Wednesday. We believe this decision threatens the existing system and calls into question the rules of the game. The purpose of the Sports Law is to protect La Liga’s economic mechanisms; we, like all La Liga members, have always complied with economic control regulations and will continue to do so. In fact, to maintain the current competitive level of the team over the past few years, we have decided to make multiple capital increases. However, this government intervention has set a very dangerous precedent, as it opens the door to circumventing rules and repeating serious past mistakes. Atletico Madrid will continue to be committed to rigorous management; without clear and fairly applicable rules, there cannot be fair competition. We wonder what the fans think about this?”
