[Saba Sports News] The Audi F1 team is approaching a significant milestone – they will first unveil their inaugural concept car before the 2026 season. According to official information, this launch event is scheduled for November 12. Currently, Audi’s official website has started a countdown page, warming up the event with the theme “The Next Step to F1.” Although this soon-to-be-unveiled model is still in the concept stage, it is expected to showcase the overall design and team color scheme of Audi’s future F1 car. According to the plan, Audi will become a full-factory team with fully independent power units and chassis design in 2026. Currently, the team operates from its base in Hinwil, Switzerland, while also integrating resources from the R&D center in Nurburgring, Germany, to complete the final development of the new power unit for the 2026 season. Team principal Jonathan Wheatley recently confirmed that the Audi F1 team’s power unit has entered the final testing phase, with the current focus on improving stability and reliability. Meanwhile, preparations for internal structure and talent development are also in full swing. Wheatley revealed that the team is balancing internal promotions with external recruitment to build long-term competitiveness within the constraints of the cost cap. Some media reports suggest that Audi’s F1 engine might be slightly less powerful than competitors like Mercedes, but its true performance will only be revealed during next year’s pre-season testing. Regardless, this soon-to-be-released concept car will become an important symbol of Audi’s official entry into the F1 world.
