[Saba Sports News] Babar Azam has returned to lead Pakistan’s men’s cricket team after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced his appointment as captain for ODIs and T20s. The decision was made unanimously by the PCB’s selection committee and its chairman Mohsin Naqvi, reflecting a strategic move by the board.
In a social media post on platform X, the PCB confirmed Babar’s appointment, sharing a video clip of a meeting between Babar and Naqvi. The board stated that the decision aims to ensure player well-being and peak performance, with a focus on rotating players like Shaheen Shah Afridi to maintain their performance levels.

Shaheen expressed his honor at leading the team and pledged support to Babar, emphasizing their shared goal of making Pakistan the best team in the world.
