[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, even after completing a series of player sales and departures, Barcelona still did not have sufficient salary space to register Wojciech Szczesny, Gerard Martin, and Roony Badji. Therefore, the club will activate a contingency plan: the board of directors, led by president Joan Laporta, will provide personal guarantees to complete the registrations. Barcelona had internally considered the option of a small personal guarantee from the board to finalize the registration of these three players. Reports indicate this credit guarantee will be executed, thus greenlighting these three registrations without relying on further transfer operations or the sale of VIP season tickets. The report adds that even with the player sales and departures already completed in the summer transfer market, the club failed to free up enough salary space to register these three players. It’s worth remembering that the club’s priority before the start of La Liga was to register Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford, which was successfully done allowing them to play in the season opener against Mallorca.
