[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, the Barcelona board held its final meeting before the Asian tour to discuss several key issues. The most prominent topic was the progress of the Nou Camp renovation. Due to the city council’s refusal to issue the license for the Gumbert Cup on August 10, the club is working to activate the new stadium for the league match against Valencia on September 13 or 14. The club has also prepared an alternative plan to return to the Municipal Olympic Stadium of Luis Companys. It is expected that Barcelona will make a final decision by mid-August so that the grass can be installed at Montjuïc, as UEFA regulations require the Champions League group stage to be played at the same venue. Meanwhile, the board is waiting for Crowe Audit’s final report for the 2024-25 financial year, which is crucial for restoring La Liga’s financial fair play rules and helps register new players in the summer transfer window. The report is expected to be completed by early August. Barcelona hopes that the audit report will fully include a 100 million euro VIP seat lease transaction involving Fortia Advisor Limited (30%) and New Era Visionary Group (70%), with the latter having already paid 28 million euros, and the remaining 42 million euros to be paid between September 2025 and early 2026.
